Swine Flu, the threat to all mankind. Yeah right!!! All it is,is an excuse for more hypochondriacs to call EMS for nonsense. They say 168 have died in Mexico, now one very unfortunate death in the USA. I am not privy to the amount of resources being utilized to monitor this "monstrous" flu, but I know its on every network channel and we have shut down one country and hundreds of schools. I wonder why we don't take this approach with high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, smoking related disease, alcoholism, hiv, std's, pneumonia, yeah i could go on and on. It amazes me. It just shows how easily manipulated we are. Are these illnesses not pandemics, epidemics of grand proportion. Where is the disaster management for obesity. I am concerned about Swine flu and bird flu, but in my honest opinion, there is much bigger fish to fry. To Swine flu I say phewey.

I see no hope. Patient satisfaction and CMS idiotic guidelines, pay for performance are all important, while specialty call list that remain blank and administrators removing noon lunches for MD's, while they average 500000 a year, have infested healthcare .
