Glenn Becks Hospital Horror---Give me a break!!!!

Glenn Beck a T.V. celebrity went to a hospital emergency room and says it was a "horror." He whined and whined and whined on ABC news "oh the triage nurse did not look at me." He was very cavalier in stating no one cared about him and that he was drugged up by doctors. Well i got news for you Mr Beck, welcome to the real world. Didn't you read my blog---You will wait!!!. The system is broken, overwelmed and destined to get worse as government funding cuts occur, on call specialists refuse to take call and all we speak of is patient satisfaction and not doctor satisfaction. I got news for you Mr. Beck, yeah your hemmrhoids were probably bad, butt---no pun intended, I'm sure at the same time you rolled in, there were patients with heart attacks, strokes and gastrointestinal bleeds. There are a lot of sick people in the ER including drug seekers asking for that dilaudid, morphine and fentanyl every minute, and when they dont get it, complain to the hospital administrator about bad care and threaten to sue. The USA needs to realize that emergency medicine is as important, if not more important than Cardiology or Oncology. Emergency Medicine needs the "care" Mr Beck speaks of from the conservative politicians he supports, ensuring adequate reimbursement to ED docs and protects them from frivilous lawsuits, so they dont feel like their practicing with a gun to their head. Forgive me if I'm not that sympathetic to you Mr. Beck. Your experience wasn't that bad, you actually were seen within 20 minutes. Welcome to the ER.
